We honored the footprint of the original house and added on to expand and provide for the needs of the new owners and their growing family. Our clients wanted a space that was open and inviting for family and friends with the possibility of expansion into the new addition for either personal or work space needs in the future. Our rehab of the house took it from tired and dated to fabulous and fun!

    Lakeside Retreat

    This previously dated summer home was always intended to be a gathering place for family and friends along with a place to retire. When our clients made the decision to renovate, we worked with them on their overall design and phasing. We started with some small cosmetic changes and upgrades to the upstairs spaces and when retirement came we moved into the first floor, striped it down and started over complete with finishes and furniture. It was a true joy to take this project from conception to completion.

    This home offered some unique challenges as it was formerly a duplex that had been updated in the 90’s under the direction of an HGTV designer with quick fixes in mind. Our homeowners hired us to develop a comprehensive design of the entire house so the “duplex” feel would be gone and all spaces would be efficient and comfortable for the entire family. The result is a beautiful, modern, open concept layout that everyone can enjoy!
